Debs and Squires 2024

In the history of our school this is always the most social, elegant and prestigious event on the calendar. We take pride in the selection of the venue, music, delicious food and the elegance with which the ballroom is decorated. Beautiful gifts and great prizes are given to all the Debs and Squires and the winners.

This will be an occasion which you will never forget and never regret participating in.

This project is one of the biggest fundraising undertakings on our school calendar - funds are raised for both our school and a number of beneficiaries whom we have supported over the last decade.

We encourage every current Grade 9 and 10 to get involved from the beginning as the fundraising is never easy.

Many hesitate to commit themselves because of the seemingly huge amount of funds that must be collected by the end of the first week of May 2024.

But do not despair! This year we have decided to become an integral part of your fundraising to assist you wherever possible and make it easier for you by assigning mentors to learners.

On deciding to take up the challenge, you will fill out the Debs/Squires obligation form, which officially enters you into our team. The form, together with an entrance fee of R50.00, is to be paid to Mrs. Corlett.

The entrance fee is used to purchase goods to make up three major hampers. One will become a Easter Hamper filled with special Easter delights, the other two will be for hampers later in the programme.

We will handle the basic admin to help you and provide raffle forms to start you on your fundraising campaign.

You must adhere to the rule that you have 20 months to raise the money, which means that you need to raise a minimum of R200 per month to reach the target.

As this money is raised, it is to be deposited with Mrs. Corlett where it will be credited against your name. This way we are able to know that your fundraising is on track.

We wish you well in your endeavors and we are here to support you.
